About us
We protect lives, enforce safety and respond to emergencies on Harties.

Who we are.
The Hartbeespoort Marine Law Enforcement Unit is a non-profit company. Our focus is safety, law enforcement and rescue on the water.
SAMSA, the South African Maritime Safety Authority, appointed the unit to keep Hartbeespoort Dam safe. Our crew checks skippers, boats and landing sites, acts when the rules are broken, and answers emergencies on the water, together with SRU Maritime Search and Rescue, the NSRI and the police.
Training saves lives.

Three jobs.

Respond to emergencies

Clear the danger
Joint operations against illegal fishing, and the removal of the dangerous fishing nets left in the dam.
Working together.
Nobody keeps a dam this size safe alone.
